If you have questions about anything in the garden, this is your group. In addition to learning something new, growing together is very rewarding.
Members range from novices to Master Gardeners. We meet monthly in members' homes. While enjoying morning refreshments, we share our garden successes or problems. We discuss the chosen topic for the day presented by a member. We also review Katherine Grace Endicott's, Gardening in Northern California to remind us of important tasks for each month in the garden.
Field trips include special nurseries, or botanical and private gardens to supplement our area of study. Last year we focused on the vast topic of succulents and viewed the best specimens of this group at the Ruth Bancroft Garden in Walnut Creek and the U.C. Botanical Garden.
This year we are visiting three beautiful and unusual gardens as part of our study of garden design.
