Herbs and Spices

If you love to eat and learn about herbs and spices, you will have fun with us at our monthly lunch meetings. We focus on individual herbs or spices, discussing their history, cultivation and use in cooking, or on a specific national cuisine, examining the herbs and spices which make that cuisine unique. We meet at members' homes and share the cooking.

This year we are focusing on countries along the Silk Route and learning about the herbs and spices that each country uses in its cooking. The countries are China, Afghanistan, India, Persia, Armenia, Turkey, and Italy.
